The wonderfully kind Teddy bear who expresses his huge love for people by sharing out kisses has already enjoyed our hospitality once before. We rescued him from an accident then. His owner did come for him and even paid for the surgery as his right hind leg had been broken. We naively thought that from then on his owner would take extra care of him, but sadly, it did not happen. Only a month later BERTOLD found himself on the street once again. We notified his owner, but he was of the view that the dog had caused him enough trouble, he kept escaping and the surgery had been costly anyway, so he did not need him any more. This is how it happened that BERTOLD has stayed with us and now he’ s waiting with a constantly happily wagging tail for his new owner . He waits for him every day. He’s in dire need of love and caring and attention paid to him. He’s capable of huge affection and loves to show how much he really loves us. He also enjoys jumping up on us, so we do not recommend him to families with toddlers or the elderly. We do recommend him to a sporty owner, though, as ample exercise is essential for him to use up his pent up energy and so that he wouldn’t even think of escaping again.
With fellow dogs he’s extremely friendly. During our impromptu cat test (that is conducted in a small room full of cats) he did not show any interest in the felines. However, because both parties were experiencing a new situation it is not fully guaranteed that he will be completely cat-friendly in other situations as well. 25.01.2021
His heartworm test result on 24th November came back negative.
He's relocated to Germany. 29.01.2021
