Storms were raging in the middle of May, high winds were blowing for hours, every day it was raining and it was cold. This tiny elderly little bitch took shelter under a car from the adverse weather conditions. The petscanner didn't indicate a chip and an owner desperately worrying for his pet dog hasn't turned up at the shelter either.
The most unjust and unfair thing that can happen to a loyal dog is that she's being dumped for her old age and she ends up at the shelter.
IMOLA was very thin when she came in. She looked quite big only because of her thick, dirty coat.
She's indifferent to other dogs, infinitely calm and peaceful, and well-meaning.
In her ageing eyes, though, you can see the sorrow. She's sadly and quietly watching what's going on around her as if to say: sorry I'm alive. Still she's very grateful when someone pays attention to her, she loves cuddling and she even seemed to enjoy bathing. She walks nicely on the lead, just walks slowly with her tiny legs taking measured little steps.
It would be wonderful if, after who knows how much deprivation, she could be loved and could live without any further hardship now.
