Patty adatlapja

Ismét a kegyetlen magyar valóság szemtanúi lehettünk. Szomorú és végtelenül elkeserítő, hogy az utcán élő, tanyák körül vegetáló, chipnélküli, oltatlan, ráadásul VEMHES kutyusok országa vagyunk.
A mezőőr kérte segítségünket egy bekerítetlen tanyán élő kisebb kutyakolónia befogásával kapcsolatban. Pár nappal előtte került kórházba az idős gazda és azóta valószínűleg senki nem etette ezeket a kutyusokat.
Kollégánk kiment a portára, ahol a beharangozott 3 kutyus helyett rögtön 4 fogadta. Persze, mind tisztes távolból ugatott rá, közel egyik sem mert jönni és közeledésre el is tűntek a tanyát övező ősdzsungelben. Egy megoldás maradt: ki kellett tenni a csapdát.
A 4 kutyusból végül kettőt, Pitty-t és PATTY-t, sikerült a csapdával befogni. Joggal gondoltuk, juhé, ezt a csatát már félig megnyertük hisz ők ketten biztonságban vannak, még akkor is, ha a happy end csak akkor jön el, ha a másik 2 kutyust is sikerül majd befogni. Legalábbis ezt gondoltuk aznap  reggel. Jóval később aznap fedeztük csak fel a csukott szemű újszülöttet a kennelben, aki nyilván a mamit, azaz PATTY-t, ért stressz miatt született meg. Nem tudjuk, hogy ez az egy szem picike életben tud-e maradni, de legalább itt sokkal nagyobb esélye van rá mintha egy bokortanyában született volna meg. Ő a Pequeño nevet kapta. 
Többemberes akció keretében is feladta a leckét kis csapatunknak, de két héttel később végül csak megfogtuk a harmadik rettegőt, Putty-t, is. A csapdát messziről elkerülte, de sikerült bekeríteni. (A 4. kutyusnak sajnos csak a hangját hallottuk, még csak megpillantani sem engedte magát.)
PATTY egy igazi kis csoda. Nagyon jó mamija Pequeño-nak. Jó ideig a menhelyen egy szűk konténerben nevelgette, de nagyon nagy szerencséje volt hisz egyik önkéntesünk, Timi, beleszeretett a cuki kis párosba, így mindketten hozzáköltözhettek a végleges gazdi elérkezéséig.
Az idegenekkel első találkozáskor egy picit bizalmatlan, de hamar közel lehet kerülni hozzá, mindössze egy kis simogatásra és szeretgetésre van szükség. Onnantól kezdve nagyon bújós, imádja ha kényeztetik és jön, kéri a szeretetet. Ha netán elkalandozna az ember figyelme, szól: mancsát az öledbe teszi, odanyomja hozzád puha orrocskáját vagy simán az öledbe ugrik. Imádja a hasát, ergo: jövendőbeli gazdijának sok-sok finom falattal kell készülnie.
Emlődaganatát hamarosan megműttetjük.
PATTY sajnos szívférges, az örökbe fogadónak ez havonta kb. 4.000 Ft kiadást jelent. Csak olyan jelentkezzen gazdinak, aki ezt az áldozatot meg tudja hozni érte! 2021.06.23., 2021.09.07.

2021.11.10-én örökbe fogadta ideiglenes befogadója. 

We had to witness the cruel Hungarian reality once again. It is sad and indescribebly disheartening to realise that Hungary is the land of chipless, unvaccinated and moreover, PREGNANT  stray dogs living in the street and around the countryside farms.
The local ranger asked for our help to help him catch a smaller dog colony living on a farm with no fence around. A few days earlier the elderly owner of the dogs had been admitted to hospital and according to hearsay no one had fed the dogs since then.
Our colleague appeared on the property and found 4 dogs instead of the 3 having been reported to him. Of course, all were barking at him from a long distance – none of them dared to come close and as he approached they promptly disappeared in the „jungle” surrounding the farm. There was one solution left: he had to set up the trap.
Out of the 4 dogs he managed to trap 2 in the end. They were Pitty and PATTY. We were rightly pleased with ourselves as we certainly half-won this fight having placed the 2 dogs in safety even though we knew that the happy end would only come when the other 2 dogs could be caught as well.
At least this is what we thought that morning. Only much later did we discover the newborn pup with his eyes still tightly closed in the kennel who was obviously the result of the huge stress that the mummy, PATTY, suffered. We do not know whether this one pup could survive or not, but the odds are certainly more in his favour here than what they would have been, had he been born under a bush in the wilderness. He was named Pequeño.
Two weeks later we assigned multiple persons to our next operation, so we managed to catch the 3rd little „scaredy-cat”, Putty. He avoided the trap from afar, but we managed to circle him. (We could only hear the barking of the 4th dog. He/she didn’t let us spot him/her.)
PATTY is a real little wonder. She’s been a very good mummy for Pequeño. She was nurturing him for a long time inside a small container at the shelter, but she got lucky as one of our volunteers fell in love with the cute pair and they were able to move in with her until their forever owner comes for them
She's a bit shy when meeting strangers for the first time, but it’s easy to get close to her. All you need to do is a bit of stroking and caressing. From then on she’s very cuddly and she looooves being pampered. She comes for love and stroking, asking for it. Should your attention wander she willappeal for it: she puts her paw into your lap, she pushes her soft little nose to you or simply jumps into your lap without further ado. She’s a chowhound, so her future owner need to prepare with treats galore.
Her mammary tumour will be operated soon.
Unfortunately, PATTY is heartworm positive the treatment of which condition incurs a monthly cost of 4,000 Ft. She's waiting for her loving owner who's willing to provide this for her. 23.06.2021, 07.09.2021
