PANNIKA and Petra were living in a public park, but it’s a busy area and not everyone likes cats, so they had to be removed from there.
PANNIKA was very friendly with people and it was easy to get hold of her and bring her to the shelter. Luckily, we were still in time as she had already been with kitties. She was immediately neutered, so the kittens weren’t born into this cruel world where no one knows what might have happened to them.
PANNIKA was healing nicely and after the period of quarantine she got together with the other cats in one of our cat rooms. 10-12 cats live there together which is, sadly, not ideal for her, neither is it ideal for the other cats. She enjoys eating so much that she chases away the other cats from the food bowls at feeding. If the other cats leave any leftover she will surely finish it off in no time. As a result, her belly has become quite round by now.
It would be wonderful if she could be given a forever home very quickly as then she would not be able to eat so much and she could lose some belly fat. Naturally, being overweight isn’t healthy for cats, either.
She is also a very friendly lap cat who keeps purring all the time. She enjoys stroking a lot and she’s not aggressive. She does not snap, scratch or claw, either. Her right eye is blurred due to an earlier injury and this won’t get better now, but it does not stop her enjoying life.
She has been vaccinated and chipped. Her FIV-FELV tests are negative. All she needs now is a forever home. We hope it happens soon, although she can only be adopted as a strictly indoor cat.
She's relocated to Germany. 30.04.2021
