PAMI and his friend, Barni, came into the temporary care of an “animal lover” the how or why of which he did not reveal to us, only that he considered this quite temporary as he brought them straight to the shelter.
We do not know for how long they were with him, but it is obvious that he did not spare any time or care for them as they were both really unused to humans. Barni was the easiest case of the two, he became manageable within a reasonably short period of time.
PAMI, on the other hand, needed one year to slowly and gradually get used to people as he started to feel what it's like to be loved and became closer and closer to his carers. After some time he started to take the first step himself, was asking for attention and stroking, but the collar and lead seemed still terrifying for him. Finally, the time came when we were able to take him out on a walk and he saw the fields and the world around the shelter for the first time.
He's looking for an extremely patient owner because another change of environment will probably be very hard on him. The best would be if he could have a dog companion at his new home. He gets on well with bitches.
He showed no interest at all in cats during our cat test. He seemed totally in awe of them.
He moved to Germany. 20 December 2019
