Allegedly – with his companion, Panka – he entered someone's yard, so we had to bring him to the shelter. PEDRÓ was in a state of shock and we were only be able to catch him with a control pole.
Long weeks have passed and PEDRÓ was just growling and barking angrily whenever he saw a person. He was unapproachable. It's taken him ages to begin to open up towards us. As a first step he simply stayed away and wagged his tail from the distance. Later he endured stroking, but with a rigid stance, unmoving and almost holding his breath. His muscles only loosened up when we stepped away from him. However, we didn't give up. Some time ago we managed to put a harness on him and we carried him, carefully placed in our arms to the fields. And there, in the fresh air PEDRÓ was oblivious to anything else and was running happily and jumping around with his companion, Panka.
But it is not that simple.
While Panka walks nicely and enjoys every minute of the exercise PEDRÓ cannot walk nicely. What he does is anything but walking. He's not taking any interest in his environment, the insects or the butterflies. The only thing he's focused on is Panka. He's unable to let her go out of his sight. He's only happy in he can be near Panka. During the walks he will keep jumping onto her and hug her with his two little legs.
If Panka has to leave their dog pen for some reason and PEDRÓ stays, he will get into a frenzy, a state of hysteria, he's screaming and keeps running onto the fence, trying to scramble after her at any price.
He's still young and needs to learn the rules, but with adequate attention and training he will become the model of the perfect dog.
He's looking for his loving home where he will be allowed to move in together with his friend, Panka, but only when his socialisation has finished.
His heartworm test result on 3rd September 2019 came back negative.
He relocated to Germany. 10.04.2020
