PAGE és 7 társa a ma már szállóigévé vált vidéki kutyatartási „kultúra” áldozatai. Tehát ők már megtapasztalhatták, hogy milyen a gazdás élet vidéken, ahol rettegni kell az embertől és egy lánc akadályozza a szabad mozgást, viszont azt még sajnos soha nem élték át, hogy milyen szuper érzés lehet a gazdi szeme fényének lenni.

A történet még 2020. év végén kezdődött, amikor 3 kölyökkutya került gondozásunkba egy tanyáról, akiket a piacon terveztek eladni. A gazda elmondása alapján mindenképp csak „jó helyre” adták volna őket mert ők „szeretik a kutyákat” …

2021.04.22-én ismét erre a tanyára vezetett az utunk. Összesen 11 (ivaros!) kutyát számoltunk a tanyán, de ebből 3 „valahol az úton szaladt” hisz kerítés természetesen nem volt.  Nyilván ezért élt néhányuk láncon. Így „csak” 8-at tudtunk gondozásunkba venni, a maradék három kutyust hamarosan szintén elhozzuk. Ők Pether, Parker, Phyro, PAGE, Presley (ők az 5 kistestű kutyus) , valamint Penny, Lynette és Preston (ők a 3 nagyobb testű kutyus). Szerencsére mind a 8-an a legaranyosabb, legkezelhetőbb és legjobb kutyák a menhelyen, mindegyikük egyéniség  és nagyon hamar belopják magukat az ember szívébe, így bízunk benne, hogy hamarosan rájuk talál a szerető gazdi.

Az 5 kistestű kutyus szeméből sugárzott a rettegés bekerüléskor. Egy csomóban igyekeztek összebújni és ugatással megfélemlíteni minket, hogy nehogy hozzájuk nyúljunk, de nagyon hamar berendezkedtek és feloldódtak az új helyen. Mind az öten rendkívül bájosak, nehéz eldönteni melyikük a legszebb.

Ötük közül PAGE az egyetlen lány és a legbarátságosabb is. Ha embert lát, szinte sikolt az örömtől és ha valaki be is lép hozzá, örömmel bújik az emberhez, élvezettel tűri a simogatást és ugrik az ember ölébe. Imád kézben lenni és pórázon is szépen sétál. Kutyatársaival jó a kapcsolata. Nagyon sokat jelentene számára egy szerető gazdi, a gondoskodás és az összetartozás érzése.
A macskateszt során ( ami egy cicákkal teli, apró szobában zajlik), azt tapasztaltuk, hogy nem volt érdeklődő a macskák iránt. Mivel mindkét fél megilletődött állapotban volt, így nem feltétlen garantált, hogy máskor, más környezetben teljesen cicabarát lesz. 
2021.06.02-án elvégzett szívféregtesztjének eredménye: negatív.

PAGE and her 7 companions are victims of the so-called „pet culture” so typical of the Hungarian countryside. They have already been able to experience what it’s like to have an owner in the countryside where you must be terrified of your owner and where your free movement is hindered by a short chain, but they have never been able to experience what  a super feeling it is to actually  belong to someone and be the apple of the eye for this person.

The story goes back to the end of the year 2020 when 3 puppies came into our care from a countryside farm. The puppies were about to be sold at the local market. According to the owner, the puppies would be definitely given only to „good homes” because, of course, they „love dogs”…

As it happens, on 22nd April 2021 we drove that way again, to the very same farm  and counted altogether 11 (uncastrated!) dogs on the property. Out of them 3 were „running somewhere on the road” as naturally, there was no fence around the premises. Obviously, this is why some of the dogs had to live their life chained. In this way, we were able to bring „only” 8 dogs away and the other 3 dogs will be collected by us at a later date. The 8 dogs are: Pether, Parker, Phyro, PAGE, Presley (they are the 5 small size dogs) and Penny, Lynette és Preston (they are the 3 larger size dogs). Luckily, all 8 of them are the sweetest, most easily manageable and best dogs of the shelter. Each one of them  has a unique personality and they wind their way into your heart in a heartbeat, so we have good reason to trust the loving owner will find them soon.

The eyes of the 5 small size dogs were full of agitation and worry when they first arrived at the shelter. They were doing their best to cuddle together and scare us away by their barking so as not to be touched, but they made themselves comfortable quite soon and started to ease up very quickly in their new home. All 5 of them are extremely charming and it is difficult to decide which one is more beautiful.

Out of the 5 small size dogs PAGE’s the only girl and she’s also the friendliest of all. If she spots someone she’s beside herself with joy and happiness and if someone even enters her kennel she gladly cuddles up to them, jumps into their lap and enjoys stroking very much. She enjoys being in your arms and is already leash-trained. She enjoys a good relationship with other dogs. It would mean a lot to her to find a loving owner and to feel cared for and that she can belong to someone. 
During our impromptu cat test (that is conducted in a small room full of cats) she did not show any interest in the felines. However, because both parties were experiencing a new situation it is not fully guaranteed that she will be completely cat-friendly in other situations as well.  
Her heartworm test result on 2nd June 2021 came back negative.
