Más szombaton pihen vagy kirándul. Mi meg…  Egy péntek délután értesített minket a gazda hozzátartozója,  hogy őket még szerdán magukra hagyták és betegség miatt elköltöztek, a szomszéd néninél van a kulcs. Szárazeledelt hagytak nekik, de nem tudtuk, mennyit, így amint tudtuk, behoztuk a kis cirmos triót. Amerre nézünk, utcai kolóniák, várandós macskák, nem kívánt szaporulatok mindenhol. Az utánpótlás az ivartalanítási felhívások, sőt, az ingyenes ivartalanítási akciók ellenére is, folyamatos.

Mindenesetre a cirmos cicusok elbűvölően szépek, kézhez szokottak és amint meglátnak valakit, máris ezerrel dorombolnak.  Ivartalanításuk a lehető leghamarabb megtörtént. Dia és DÓRI már vemhesek voltak, ráadásul Diánál épp időben érkezett a segítség mert már beindult nála a vetélés. A lányok a nehezén túl vannak.
DÓRI a trió legnyugodtabb természetű tagja. Szívesen heverészik, de egy kis játékban is bármikor benne van. Imád az ember közelében lenni. Szemei szinte kérlelik a simogatást.

FRISSÍTÉS 2022.08.10. DÓRI már több hónapja állandó hasmenéstől szenvedett. Az állatorvosi vizsgálat során bélsárteszt is készült, amely Isospora oocystak jelenlétét mutatta ki, ami gyenge immunrendszerű állatokat betegít meg. Sajnos a hasmenés a júniusban történt mintavétel óta és a folyamatos kezelés ellenére sem múlt el teljesen. Van, hogy elmúlik, aztán újra visszatér. Erre való tekintettel egyetlen megoldás létezik számára: ha minél hamarabb kikerül a menhelyről és egyedüli cicaként tud élni új otthonában, stresszmentesen. Új otthonában az első hónapban gastro-intestinal, azaz a gyomor-és bélrendszerre kedvező hatású táp javasolt. 

Mindhárman ivartalanok, FIV-FELV tesztjük negatív. Egy gondoskodó gazdi karjaiban soha nem emlékeznének vissza a régi életükre.
FRISSÍTÉS 2022.12.12.: DÓRI széklete több hetes megfigyelés után normalizálódott. Diétára nincs szükség. A cicaszobában a többi cicával él együtt és cicatársain semmilyen tünet nem jelentkezett. DÓRI az Isospora-fertőzés jeleit nem mutatja.

Other people rest or go on a little outing on Saturday. We, on the other hand…. We were informed on a Friday afternoon by the owner’s relative that they had moved houses on Wednesday and 3 kittens had been left behind. She added that we could pick up the keys from the neighbour. Dry food had been left behind for the cats, but we didn’t know how much, therefore, we hurried to rescue the 3 Tabby cats the following day. Wherever we look, we find street colonies, pregnant cats, unwanted kitten overpopulation everyhere. The new supplies are never-ending when it comes to kittens despite our continuous effort to neuter street cats as well as our annual free of charge neutering campaigns.

The Tabby cats are utterly gorgeous-looking, though. They are very friendly and used to stroking. As soon as they spot someone they start purring like crazy. They were neutered as soon as it was possible for us. Dia and DÓRI were already pregnant. Moreover, help came just in time in her case as miscarriage had already started for her. The girls are over the worst now.
DÓRI is the calmest member of the trio. She enjoys lying around , but she’s also happy to take part in some game anytime. She adores being close to people. Her eyes are practically begging for stroking.

UPDATE 10.08.2022 DÓRI has been suffering from constant diarrhoea for months. During the veterinary examination a stool sample was also taken which detected Isospora oocystas in the sample. This usually affects cats with a weak immune system. Unfortunately, since the stool sample and despite the treatment the diarrhoea hasn’t gone away completely. There are periods of time when there is no diarrhoea, but then it’s back again. Because of this there is one solution for DÓRI: if she manages to get out of the shelter as soon as possible and can live in her new home as an only cat, stressfree. She is advised to be fed gastro-intestinal food in the first month in her new home. 

They are all neutered and FIV-FELV negative. They would never remember their previous life int he arms of a new loving owner.
UPDATE 12.12.2022: DORI's stool, after a several-week-long observation period has got normalised. A diet is not necessary. She lives together in the cat room with several other cats and the other cats show no symptoms. DÓRI does not have any symptoms of Isospora infection, either.
