Nimfa adatlapja

A menhely környékén bandázó 4 Malinois-németjuhász keverékkutyusra a menhelyen sétáltató önkéntesek figyeltek fel. Ők Nadett, NIMFA, Nisa és Nabiha. Mindannyian lányok és kb. fél év körüliek lehettek. Rettegtek az embertől, ezért csak csapdával sikerült befognunk őket. Egyértelműen szaporítós kutyák, akik hirtelen feleslegessé váltak hisz nem lehetett pénzt csinálni belőlük. Mint utóbb kiderült, nem 4, hanem 5 kutyus tartozott az alomhoz, csak az 5. kutyus, Néreusz, még jobban félt és még pár napig nem jött elő. Amint előbújt, őt is sikerült becsapdázni. Még az is elképzelhető, hogy a nem sokkal azelőtt a menhely közelében a kerítésre fennakadt Heidi is ugyanezen alom tagja volt.NIMFA hátsó lábai térdtől lefelé kifelé fordultak, vagyis x-alakban állnak. Ivartalanításukkor azonban másra is fény derült. Az állatorvosi vizsgálat megállapította, hogy hólyagjába belenőtt valami és össze is nőtt vele. Talán mióma, talán a húgycső, egyelőre nem tudjuk. Az alaposabb állatorvosi vizsgálat során megállapítást nyert, hogy tényleg van ott egy vastagodás, de valószínűleg nem tumor. Figyelni kell és ha nem változik pár héten belül, akkor nincs teendő vele. Lábairól röntgenfelvétel készült. Az ortopéd sebész specialista diagnózisa szerint nem fáj neki, nem sántít, a térdeivel nincs probléma, a csípője pedig születési rendellenesség. A műtét nem indokolt. Gyakorlatilag egy szépséghibáról van szó. Fizioterápia azonban javasolt számára az ízület környéki lágyszövetek átmasszírozására.

Fajtársaival barátságos. A macskateszt során ( ami egy cicákkal teli, apró szobában zajlik), azt tapasztaltuk, hogy nem volt érdeklődő a macskák iránt. Mivel mindkét fél megilletődött állapotban volt, így nem feltétlen garantált, hogy máskor, más környezetben teljesen cicabarát lesz. 
2023.05.03-án elvégzett szívféregtesztjének eredménye negatív.

Volunteering dog walkers noticed the 4 Malinois-German Shepherd crossbreed dogs in the field behind the shelter. We’ve named them Nadett, NIMFA, Nisa and Nabiha. They are all female dogs and they were about half a year old at the time. They were terrified of people, so we had to use the trap to catch them. They are obviously the by-products of heartless illegal backyard breeders as it was obviously not possible to make money out of them. As it later came to light, there was a 5th dog too, NIMFA who was even more scared of people than the 4 girls, so he had remained in hiding for a couple more days. When he finally showed himself, we managed to trap him too. We are wondering if Heidi, the similar-looking Malinois-German Shepherd crossbreed who had literally got caught up on the fence close to the shelter was also a sibling. 

The hind legs of NIMFA are bent / twisted inwards from the knee down, making them deformed. At neutering, however, some more obviously genetic deformity came to light. It seems that something has grown into her bladder and it’s grown togther with it too. It could be a myoma, or the urinary tract. It is still to eastablish. During a more thorough veterinary examination it was established that there was, indeed, a thickening there, but it is probably not a tumour. We have to keep an eye on it and if it doesn't change for a couple of weeks, it does not need intervention. X-ray pictures were taken of her hind legs.The orthopaedic surgeon specialist’s diagnosis states that she has no pain, she does not limp, there are no problems with her knees, her hips are deformed genetically. Surgical intervention is unnecessary. It is just a disfigurement. Physiotherapy could be of some help, however to massage the soft tissue around the joints.

With fellow dogs she’s friendly. During our impromptu cat test (that is conducted in a small room full of cats) she did not show any interest in the felines. However, because both parties were experiencing a new situation it is not fully guaranteed that she will be completely cat-friendly in other situations as well.  
Her heartworm test result on 3rd May 2023 came back negative.
